MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program 2024—2025 at the University of Pretoria

Applications are open for the MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program 2024-2025 at the University of Pretoria for the suitably qualified students. The aim is to support economically disadvantaged but gifted African students who are academically sound to get the opportunity to change their continent for better. In line with that, the University of Pretoria has signed partnership with the MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program to provide assistance to African Youth who are faced with economic challenges, including the refugees, those living in IDP camps and persons living with disabilities. It is an inclusive scholarship and opportunity for African students.
The program offers full funding to selected and suitably qualified students who have been provisionally offered admission to study undergraduate or postgraduate degree at the University of Pretoria in the following facilities:
* Faculty of Education
* Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences
* Faculty of Humanities
* Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences
* Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment And Information Technology (EBIT)
* Faculty of Law (undergraduate, SADC, Postgraduates for all African Countries)
The Scholarship Covers:
1. Accommodation in a University of Pretoria Residence
2. Full tuition fees
3. Medical aid cover for the duration of study
4. Visa costs for international students
5. Travel costs including the flight tickets to and from South Africa.
6. Academic and non-academic workshops
7. Monthly Stipend
8. Recommended textbooks
Eligibility
- The Scholarship is available for undergraduate, Honours and Masters students that have applied and have applied, accepted to study at the University of Pretoria, South Africa.
- The program is launched for African youths facing socio-economic challenges involving the Internally Displaced Persons, and individuals living with disabilities to ensure inclusivity so that they can pursue their educational interests.
- Applicants must show their qualities of leaders and commitment to the community service through involvement in projects, academic activities and proving indeed commitment to make difference.
- Applicants must demonstrate outstanding academic performance, show high academic achievement which is an aspect of the program.
Application Process
Applicants who are interested in studying for their undergraduate and masters at the university of Pretoria and wish to be offered The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program scholarship must follow the following procedures to apply.
- First Step: To begin application process, download and the fill the hardcopy of the relevant application form provided here. Undergraduate application PDF or postgraduate application PDF. Ensure that all requested supporting documents are included upon submission.

- Third Step: Send your application, while it goes through review. The outcome will be communicated to you. If you do not hear about your application, it means it is unsuccessful.
